If you want to enjoy a luxury SUV while still prioritizing fuel economy, the Lincoln Corsair has you covered. With an available hybrid motor, the 2021 Lincoln Corsair miles per gallon (MPG) rating can reach as high as an EPA-estimated 83 city/72 highway MPGe.1 Choosing one of the non-hybrid Lincoln Corsair motors still gives you access to high-end efficiency.

Before you test drive the Lincoln Corsair near Richmond, Mechanicsville, or Ashland, Virginia, our Richmond Lincoln team thought a rundown of the fuel economy figures for each engine would be helpful.

2021 Lincoln Corsair MPG Figures

There are three available engines for the 2021 Lincoln Corsair SUV. Each comes with its own fuel economy rating. The type of drivetrain you choose (either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive) will play a role in overall efficiency, as well.

The most efficient option is a 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid that returns an EPA-estimated 83 city/72 highway MPGe.1

Sticking with the standard motor is a savvy choice, too. The turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder returns an EPA-estimated 22 city/29 highway MPG.1 The final engine option is another turbocharged motor-this one with a 2.3L setup. Fuel economy is quite close to the regular 2.0L, as the 2.3L checks in at an EPA-estimated 21 city/28 highway MPG.1

Horsepower, Torque, and Transmission

While fuel economy may be your top priority, it's still handy to have a motor with a smooth transmission and a little get-up-and-go when you need it. The three available engines in the 2021 Lincoln Corsair have their own unique personality and their own power outputs.

The standard turbocharged 2.0L makes 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle activation. You can use these paddles to change gears yourself, giving the luxurious SUV a more engaging experience.

If you step up to the 2.3L motor, you can enjoy higher outputs of 295 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The same 8-speed transmission with the same paddle shifters is present here, too.

Finally, there's the 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid. The output of hybrid engines is often measured in system net horsepower, of which this 2.5L offers 266. The 8-speed transmission is dropped in favor of a Continuously Variable Transmission with SelectShift® paddle activation.
